Resumen
El objetivo del trabajo fue medir los niveles de Depresión, Ansiedad y estrés en los jóvenes universitarios del primer año y del quinto año de la carrera de medicina de la Universidad del Pacifico sede Pedro Juan Caballero. Se realizó un estudio observacional analítico de cohorte prospectivo en estudiantes universitarios de la Universidad del Pacifico, donde la población y la muestra incluyeron a los estudiantes del primer año y del quinto año de la carrera de medicina. Se invitó de forma virtual a participar de la investigación, se les facilito un consentimiento informado el cual deberían aceptar y completar con sus datos para tener acceso al cuestionario, donde el mismo contaba con veinte y una preguntas de las cuales las mismas tenían cuatro opciones de respuestas, y como principal metodología la aplicación de la escala DASS-21, donde con las respuestas del cuestionario se extrajeron los datos para conocer los niveles de depresión, ansiedad y estrés, la misma es previamente validada y reconocida mundialmente. La prevalencia de depresión en los universitarios de la carrera de medicina del presente estudio ha sido de (14.4%), los niveles de ansiedad fueron predominantemente superiores en el sexo femenino 104 (79.4%) en comparación con el sexo masculino 27 (20.6%), además 110 (72%) de los alumnos de la carrera de medicina en general demostraron algún nivel de estrés. Estos resultados pueden estar vinculados a la adaptación que la enseñanza superior exige.
